  • Diogo Dalot praised

Newport ace Will Evans singled out Manchester United ace Diogo Dalot after their FA Cup clash.

There was a ball that came over my head, it was probably like chest height.

And I’ve watched it the whole way and I’ve seen Dalot in front of me and he just, in the air back-heeled it, back to the keeper and I just thought what… what chance have I got?

And he’s rapid like he is lightning quick, like I was not surprised, 'cause you’re not surprised by it but he was crazy to me.

  • Not so Keane

Manchester United legend Roy Keane has warned his former club about hiring Dan Ashworth as their sporting director.

He doesn’t hang around does he? I’m not sure loyalty is on the top of his list.

He left Brighton for Newcastle and now [in only 2 years] he’s jumping to join United.

You have to look at that side of the personality as well, no doubt he is brilliant at his job, but who’s to say in a year and a half he might want to go to Real Madrid or Barcelona.

  • Berbatov on Ashworth

Manchester United legend Dimitar Berbatov claims his former club is trying to change their culture by looking to appoint Dan Ashworth as sporting director.

    Berbatov told Betfair:

United nicked Man City's COO and now they want to nick Newcastle's sporting director. They're trying to strengthen their boardroom.

Obviously when you know which type of people can help the club at a director level, you identify them and try to sign them. Of course, you hope they'll change the culture to get the right decision most of the time.

Will that be the case with Dan Ashworth possibly coming in? We'll see. It's a difficult process. It won't happen overnight. But it shows that United know they need to strengthen, not only on the pitch, but also at boardroom level, so the whole machine of United can get better like it was in the past.

  • Berbatov on Hojlund

Manchester United legend Dimitar Berbatov sang Rasmus Hojlund's praises amid his ongoing resurgence.

    Berbatov told Betfair:

I hope Rasmus Hojlind’s scoring form continues. We’ve spoken about many strikers before and the one thing that is constant and will never change for strikers is when you score, you’ll be happy, even if your team loses.

Right now, Hojlund is going through a great spell and scoring goals. His goal against Aston Villa showed how great his positioning was. When you have set-pieces, the striker needs to position themself to know and anticipate where the ball is going to drop. So for me, his goal against Villa was an ugly goal, but it was important. Keep scoring, man!

I’m not close to him around the training ground and I’m not a close friend, so I don’t know exactly what the change has been for him. It could be how he trains, how he sleeps, how he prepares himself for games.

His first Premier League goal was crucial and we saw the emotion pouring out of him. After that the other goals have followed.

His confidence has grown and grown after every goal he’s scored. Who knows where he’s going to go? He has that talent of scoring goals with his right foot, left foot and his head and he’s quick.

I’m happy for him. He’s very young and has a lot of responsibility on his shoulders as a striker for United. Right now, everything is finally going well for him. I hope that continues.

  • Frenkie de Jong latest

Barcelona named their asking price for Manchester United target Frenkie de Jong.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Barca have slapped a staggering £85million release clause on De Jong.

The interest of United manager Erik ten Hag could very well be piqued by the Blaugrana's willingness to sell the midfielder.

And the £85m asking price could prove to be too much for the Red Devils.

  • Man Utd admire De Zerbi

Brighton are braced for Roberto De Zerbi to leave the club at the end of the season.

De Zerbi has become one of the most admired managers in Europe following his success on the South Coast.

So much so that the Daily Mail report that the Italian tactician's impact has seen him gain interest from the likes of Manchester United and Liverpool.

Ineos, who run United's football side of things, are said to be keen on the 44-year-old.

The Red Devils' manager Erik ten Hag has struggled throughout the season but seems to finally be turning a corner.

  • Man Utd 'turned a corner'

Manchester United legend Dimitar Berbatov claims his former club is finally turning things around.

    Berbatov told Betfair:

If you pay attention to the results and points they’ve picked up it feels like Man United have turned a corner. It’s a great thing.

We’ve spoken many times before about the inconsistency with United where they should normally get points and haven’t got them.

United have had good performances and put points on the board, which gives you a boost and you get the momentum going.

The mood around the training ground will be great. United are going through a great spell and I hope it continues.

Arsenal as well as Manchester United have also been linked with the France international.

  • Time to Kyl

Manchester United’s director of sport Sir Dave Brailsford gave a cheeky response after a fan asked if he could sign Paris Saint-Germain superstar Kylian Mbappe.

Mbappe has informed PSG he will be leaving in the summer when his contract runs out in June.

Brailsford was asked if he could sign the star striker for the Red Devils during the summer transfer window.

The 59-year-old  replied with a cheeky grin, saying: "I don't think so, he's probably off to Real Madrid ain't he."
