With news that both Marcus Rashford and Jonny Evans have recovered from the derby Man Utd, the two should make the XI against Everton tomorrow.

The XI should therefore be the same, with Kobbie Mainoo and Bruno Fernandes in midfield alongside Casemiro, Victor Lindelof and Diogo Dalot as the full-backs and Raphael Varane and Andre Onana completing the defence.

We reckon the front three would be Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho and Antony.

  • Ten Hag provides positive update on two players

Ten Hag on team news: "The good news, they [Rashford and Evans] recovered after the derby, so they are available.

The Norwegian said: "I have a few offers but I'm not ready.

"It's got to be somewhere I can be myself not like anyone dictating 'you need to do this, you need to do that'.

Rasmus Hojlund has provided an update on his injury status.

Man Utd Women's manager Marc Skinner has backed his team to overcome their Brighton test and secure a place in the FA Women's Cup semi-final.

He told Man Utd media: "If you watch the West Ham game, we take a draw from a counter-attack. We had done enough in the game to produce good chances and chances to score.

"More importantly, the great reaction from the team was that they want to take their performance from West Ham and get the result against Brighton in the knockout stages.

"It’s going to be difficult, we know they are a good team.

"They had a great result at the weekend. It’s sometimes great having a team that is self-driven in moments like this. I think there is a nice blend of that.

  • Man Utd Freedman links could help them and two stars

Man Utd's links to Dougie Freedman could see them land two Crystal Palace stars.

According to GiveMeSport journalist Dean Jones, their Freedman interest may help them land Michael Olise and Marc Guehi.

He said: "Interestingly, the Freedman pursuit is happening when United have their eye on a couple of key players from Palace. Olise and Guehi have been identified as players United could move for in the summer.

"While I do not believe this appointment would guarantee those players joining or that Freedman is behind it, it probably doesn’t do much harm.

"It will be interesting to see how the United first-team transfer search opens up from here because I was always told that the end of March and the start of April would be pivotal in identifying who would come in, and that is starting to fit well.”

"They already have a list of targets, but the new guys going into the club will get a chance to have their thoughts on those names and suggest ones of their own."

"He [Francis] is a big United fan. I met him in Las Vegas, last time, and he was happy when he heard that I was coming to Manchester United. So, for me, it’s something great."

On Ngannou's previous fight with Tyson Fury, the Red Devils goalie added: "Two big guys, they have a fight and it was very nice to watch. I enjoyed it, it was, for me, great to watch.

"Like I said, two different people with different mentalities but it was good to watch them because, you see, life is different, some people are different.

"It was good to look at what Tyson was doing and what Ngannou was doing. It was a big lesson."

  • 'Your stock does go down a little' - Andy Cole on De Zerbi links

Roberto De Zerbi's Brighton suffered a humiliating 4-0 defeat to Roma in the first leg of their Europa League last-16 tie last night.

It was a disastrous display following the weekend's 3-0 mauling by Fulham, and Man Utd icon Andy Cole believes De Zerbi's stock may be damaged amid links to the Red Devils.

He told Betfred: "Managers get judged on results. It’s that simple.

"Last season was fantastic for Brighton, playing really attractive football, getting themselves into Europe and Graham Potter was a thing of the past.

"This season’s been totally different and it’s been a lot tougher for them.

"Their form in the Premier League has been very inconsistent and I’ve seen that Pep Guardiola has said that Barcelona should be looking at him as well, but everybody’s going to be looking at you when you’re winning football matches and when you’re not winning often, then people are going to ask questions.

“Your stock does go down a little bit when you’re not winning football matches, but that’s football.

"If Brighton go on a good run between now and the end of the season, then his stock will rise again.

"Playing on Thursday and Sunday is very difficult and it may have taken a bit of a toll on Brighton this season.”

It is unclear, however, whether this was a formal offer, though as it stands Ludonautics - who also have ex-Reds chief Michael Edwards on board - do not work for Man Utd.

This being said, Man Utd are said to have an ongoing dialogue with several data companies to ensure they have a full scope of the market.

Man Utd have Premier League clashes against Everton and Brentford this month, and picking up a yellow in each would mean Fernandes would miss a pair of blockbuster clashes against Chelsea and Liverpool in April.

  • More from Southgate

Gareth Soutgate for the time being seems confident and comfortable in the England hotseat but didn't rule out any kind of exit when asked late last year.

I’m confident in this role. I’m confident in whatever might be in the future.

Of course, I’m not going to be here for 20-30 years.

I don’t know what the future will be. I’m very calm about that.

  • Gareth Southgate hint

England boss Gareth Southgate previously dropped a huge hint that he would be open and able to take on any role in the Premier League.

Earlier this week ESPN claimed Southgate is one of three managers that Manchester United have placed on their wishlist.

And while nothing has been decided about the future of under-pressure manager Erik ten Hag, minority owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe may be buoyed by an interview the Three Lions did back in December.

Everybody would talk about Middlesbrough. ‘Oh, he got Middlesbrough relegated’.

Well, yeah, in the third year, we got relegated. But I had three years of Premier League management.

There isn't a job in world football that would intimidate or daunt you, having lived this one [England], frankly.

You're not going to have any higher profile, you're not going to have any greater pressure, you're not going to have any more complex issues.
