Abi did not reveal the identity for her new "hunky" love interest, but narrowed it down by saying the mystery man did not star on her series but appeared on a "recent" one.

Speaking exclusively to The Sun, Abi said: "I've had a few ex-Islanders slide into my DMs - I have been speaking to someone recently from Love Island.

"But I don't want to give too much away because I feel like every time I talk about it, it ends.

"I'm just going to keep it in for now.

"He was on a recent series, but not my series.

"But I don't know yet, it might just be a Christmas romance thing.

"I'd love to pursue something, I've been single for so long, nearly four years. So I'm so ready for a man. He's a hunk, I think so anyways. I'm excited but you never know.

"We've just sort of been chatting, it's very very early."

Abi said she's hopeful that there will be some dates on the cards but said she won't be "chasing" anyone again after her last failed romance with Mitch Taylor.

She told us at the press preview night at Winter Wonderland: "I'm waiting for him to ask me - I never ever want to chase after someone.

"I think everyone saw that in the villa as well, I'd rather be like 'whatever, it's fine',"

She added: "If I was single, I would definitely do it. In my series there was no one for me, but maybe All Stars, you never know the person that I'm talking to could go on All Stars."

Abi also confirmed that her new love interest is not ex Mitch.

She told us: "I haven't spoken to Mitch in ages, it's been so long. We're civil, we're friends.

"We were sort of hanging out because we were doing events together but I'm cool with him.

"I'd meet up with him if he wanted to do something on a friends basis."

It comes after  Abi told The Sun that her villa journey wasn't always easy after being "gaslit" and "picked on" - leaving her debating whether to quit the show entirely.

But the flight attendant said she is glad that producers didn't step in - saying it's an important issue that needs to be shown on TV, in a bid to help other people in similar situations.

She said: "It was a really good opportunity for me to show everyone that this is never going to happen and to take the opportunity that this is live and it can't get cut.

"I was torn down by the experience, you could see me getting weaker throughout. Coming home, I stepped back from it and thought 'I'm not going to be treated that way'.

"I went to that reunion fighting, I'm no longer going to take your s*** and I feel much stronger."

She added: "He [Mitch] did treat me unfairly - I’d probably say picked on me is the terminology, I felt picked on.

"The way he was in there, a lot of the time, he would say something to me and then when I would say, 'oh you've said this', he would be like 'no I didn't'.

"That is gaslighting, when you're denying and making me question and he would say 'if I don't remember saying it, then I never said it'."
