The character - played by Lucy Fallon - was left perturbed after discovering someone had used her old company credit card without her knowledge.

She was able to find copies of her statements to confirm she hadn't used it herself.

Eyebrows were raised even further when solicitor Joel Deering offered to give her legal advice on the situation.

In upcoming Coronation Street scenes, Bethany shows the company credit card statement from Lazaret to Shona.

Shona spots a supermarket transaction and suggests it might have been a ‘click and collect’, and she should phone them in case there’s some CCTV footage.

Some Coronation Street fans suspect the person in question will be Lauren Bolton, who has been missing since earlier this year.

However, others are convinced Joel (Calum Lill) is actually behind the fraudulent actions as part of his double life.

While Weatherfield residents are in the dark about Joel's involvement in Lauren's disappearance, Corrie viewers are fully aware of what he's been up to.
