Neil Morrissey was born in 1962 in Stafford to his Irish psychiatric nurses.
But early life wasn’t easy for him, and he spent most of his childhood in a children’s home.
Neil was eventually fostered by a family friend and after his A-levels was offered a place at Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
This is where he began training for his theatrical career, and the rest is history.

If you have kids, you will also recognise his voice (but not his face) from Bob The Builder, where he lends his vocal stylings to the title character Bob as well as Lofty and Farmer Pickles.
