Baywatch hunk Zac Efron insists he’s so ’embarrassed’ going topless in movie revamp

ZAC Efron's rippling muscles and topless scenes have left him VERY red faced as he revealed he is hugely "embarrassed" at the attention surrounding his hunky body in new movie Baywatch.

The High School Musical star, 29, confessed he feels uneasy about the comments centred on his rock hard abs as he stripped to skintight shorts to play disgraced Olympian Matt Brody in the Hollywood revamp.

On today's Lorraine show, Zac told stand-in host Rochelle Humes: "It's embarrassing to talk about.

"It's a lot of training.

"I was with The Rock, so it's motivation.

"We never worked out together though."

To add to his squirming on the sofa, Zac's co-star Priyanka Chopra said: "He (Zac) has muscles where muscles don't exist!"

Presenter Rochelle also said the ITV show cast were "melting" behind the camera as a shirt-less image of Zac flashed on-screen.

Yet while the Disney star admitted his gym workouts had been intense, he revealed the hardest part had been learning to walk in heels.

He told The Saturday's singer: "That was by far the hardest.

"I don't know how you girls do it.

"Every day, it's crazy. I messed up my ankles."

Meanwhile the new Baywatch movie has been panned by critics - prompting Zac's co-star The Rock to hit back.

The recreation of the 90s classic has received a string of negative reviews from critics.

The actor, 45, has jumped to the defence of the movie, where he takes over David Hasselhoff’s character from the original flick.

Venting his frustrations over the score on Twitter, he wrote: “Yay positive upticks. Fans LOVE the movie. Critics HATE it. What a glaring disconnect. People just want to laugh & have fun.”
