ALEX Brooker has risen to fame over the years appearing Channel 4's The Last Leg.

Who is Alex Brooker?

Alex Brooker was born on May 15, 1984, in Croydon, London.

He graduated from Liverpool John Moore University with a degree in journalism in 2006.

Alex came to prominence in 2012 as a co-host on Channel 4 show The Last Leg, alongside Adam Hills and Josh Widdicombe.

The Last Leg originally aired alongside the London Paralympics.

Despite sharing the same surname, Alex is not related to Black Mirror creator Charlie Brooker.

As well as The Last Leg, Alex and Josh have also hosted One Night In.

The show sees the duo and a few guests spend the night at some of the UK's most exciting attractions with no other visitors around.

In 2014 he co-hosted The Jump with Davina McCall, and in 2016 began presenting The Superhumans Show.

In 2020 he fronted Disability And Me, exploring his own disability and how it has shaped him.

As well as hosting he's appeared as a contestant on the Crystal Maze in 2017 and House Of Games in 2021.

The comedian was announced as the runner-up of The Masked Singer UK in February 2024.

In 2022, he played for England in Soccer Aid, where he became the first disabled player in the match.

He then returned in 2023 and is set to play again in 2024.

Is Alex Brooker married and does he have any children?

Alex married accountant Lynsey in 2014.

She appeared next to him in a documentary about body image in 2013.

They also starred together on an episode of All Star Mr & Mrs.

The couple welcomed their first daughter in March 2017.

What is Alex Brooker's disability?

Alex was born with hand and arm deformities.

He also had a twisted right leg which had to be amputated when he was a baby.

He now wears a prosthetic leg.

In 2020, he told Disability Horizons how as a child he enjoyed going to Great Ormond Street to have fittings for his leg as it gave him time off from school.

He revealed that he had an operation on his left hand as a child to make it easier for him to grip a pen.

He added: "As an adult, I do pretty much everything without assistance.

"However, the one thing I really can’t do is my top button."

In a BBC documentary called Alex Brooker: Disability And Me, Alex recalled the moment his daughter Mia first noticed his hand deformities, he said: “It was a moment I’ve worried about all my life.

“What if my kids are scared of me?

"But my daughter was holding my hand and just said: ‘Oh, you’ve got two fingers haven’t you and I’ve got four,’ and that was it.

"It was all done and dusted in five seconds.

"I thought to myself: ‘I’ve been worrying about this for 25 years, you could have made a bit more out of it!’"

What position will Alex Brooker play in Soccer Aid 2024?

It has not yet been announced which specific position Alex will play in Soccer Aid 2024.

However, he is set to join the England squad.

He is due to play with fellow famous faces such a Bobby Brazier, Tom Grennan and Danny Dyer.

Who will manage Alex Brooker's Soccer Aid 2024 team?

Alex Brooker's England team will be managed by three well-known names.

Robbie Williams, who founded Soccer Aid in 2006, will be one of three co-managers.

He will be joined by football legends Harry Redknapp and Frank Lampard.

Leading the opposing Rest of the World team will be Argentine Mauricio Pochettino, who was most recently the manager of Premier League side Chelsea.
