Lynsey Barber is a journalist on The Sun's money desk focusing on personal finance and consumer issues and with a particular interest in pensions and benefits, including Universal Credit. She joined the Sun in 2021 as a senior consumer reporter before becoming assistant head of consumer in 2022 and then consumer news editor in 2023.Before joining The Sun full time she was freelance and prior to that, was technology editor at London newspaper City A.M.. Lynsey attended Goldsmiths College, University of London and started her career at business magazine publisher Haymarket.
