Everton ready to offer Man City’s Fabian Delph Prem lifeline with £16m transfer bid

FABIAN DELPH is being hunted by Everton in a move that would boost his Premier League career — and save his England hopes.

Midfield dynamo Delph is coming into his last season at Manchester City and could be tempted by a lot more game time at Goodison Park.

The former Leeds and Aston Villa star, 29, has only been on the fringes under City boss Pep Guardiola and it looks like his spell at the Etihad is up.

Everton could snatch Delph for a fee of about £16million.

That would give manager Marco Silva an experienced player to bolster his midfield — and because of Delph’s versatility, it would also mean the Toffees have cover at left-back.

Delph is further away from the City side than ever with the £63m signing of Rodri to cram their midfield.

Part of the England squad at last summer’s World Cup, Delph has 20 senior  caps and is keen to stay on  Gareth Southgate’s radar.

His problems have also alerted Turkish side Galatasaray but he would prefer to play in England.

Everton are about to let attacking midfielder Kieran Dowell, 21, go out on loan again, with Huddersfield and Wigan vying for his signature.
