Linda Carter (Kellie Bright), Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal), Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner), Denise Fox (Diane Parish), Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) and Kathy Beale's (Gillian Taylforth) lives are set to change forever as a huge new storyline kicks off tonight.

After an eventful evening, the ladies of Walford settled into a lock in where they bond over their shared experiences, and moan about the men in their lives.

But then in a flash, everything changes.

It's Christmas 2023 and the women are back in The Queen Vic, but this time things are less jovial.

Each of the women appear horrified as they look down at the floor.

Sharon is in a wedding dress with blood stains and Denise is seen holding a broken champagne bottle.

Stacey's hands are also soaked in blood as Suki looks on in horror.

Sharon is then hovering over a body and bends down to check the pulse of the mystery figure - who was dressed in a suit wearing cufflinks.

She then shockingly revealed to the other women: "He's dead."

Viewers were left were stunned at the jaw-dropping scenes and flooded Twitter with their predictions of who the victim could be.

One wrote: "OMG was totally expecting the dead body to been Nish or Ravi but there's obviously no way Sharon would ever get involved with one of them & Denise as a potential murderess really?"

Another posted: "It’s defo Phil or Keanu coz Kat rescheduled her wedding for Xmas [sic]."

A third added: "I’m calling it now: it’s going to be an Agatha Christie style twist with Denise, Sharon, Suki, Linda, Kathy and Stacey are all contributed in the murder."

Executive Producer, Chris Clenshaw has teased fans saying there are "clues" in the scene that may giveaway who the victim is.

He said: “I’m not going to give anything away that the episode hasn’t already given, but what I will say is there were clues in there.

"Did you look closely? I urge everyone to re-watch the scene and look at every detail.

"There’s also a few treats in the scene if you look hard enough.

"What I’d also say is that a lot can happen in Walford between February and December – circumstances can change,
relationships can change, loyalties can change – so what you may suspect now could be somewhat different as we make our way through 2023 and head towards Christmas.”

On Monday's episode, viewers watched as Linda received a photo from Shirley and spotted Mick's brother Dean in the background.

She broke down in tears and was consoled by Kathy, leading the pair to have a heart-to-heart about their past traumas.

Meanwhile Sharon and Keanu enjoyed a passionate reunion but then discovered about his romance with Sam in Spain, leaving her devastated.

While Linda received a counter offer from Nish and Suki for Mick’s half of The Vic.
