Strictly Come Dancing Christmas line up reveals first three celebs including BBC Breakfast and EastEnders stars

The BBC One dancing special is back again this year as one celeb has admitted they're 'terrified'

STRICTLY Come Dancing has revealed the first three celebrities for its Christmas special.

The hit BBC One ballroom show will air a one-off festive episode once again this year.

It will air on Christmas Day with Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman on hosting duties.

Strictly judges Shirley Ballas, Anton Du Beke, Motsi Mabuse and Craig Revel-Horwood will also critique each celebrity.

Joining this year's lineup is BBC Breakfast star Sally Nugent as she swaps the red sofa for the dance floor.

The mum-of-one has been paired up with professional dancer Graziano Di Prima.

Speaking about putting her dance shoes on, Sally, 51, said: "I am thrilled and slightly terrified to be taking part in this year’s Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special.

"I'm hoping the judges will be kind - and filled with Christmas spirit. And I hope everyone watching at home will enjoy a little bit of Strictly magic on Christmas night.”

Sally will be joined by EastEnders actor Jamie Borthwick as the Jay Brown character is paired with Nacy Xu.

He said: "I am so excited to be joining the cast of this years' Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special. From Walford to a Waltz, I can’t wait to learn a new skill and put my dancing to the test.

"I’m hoping to spread Christmas cheer and have a good laugh with my professional dancer…get me on that dancefloor!”

Both stars were announced on Wednesday night's It Takes Two as broadcaster Dan Snow was also revealed.

He will historian, TV presenter and best selling author will dance with Nadiya Bychkova.

Speaking about signing up for the special, Dan said: “I am absolutely terrified about hitting the dance floor.

"But I love getting out of my comfort zone and I’ve always wanted to learn how to dance properly. So I thought it was now or never!” 

The final three celebrities will be revealed on Thursday night's edition of It Takes Two on BBC Two.
