We're making major changes to improve the way we are managed, to achieve financial stability, and to make the council fit for the future.
In September 2022, we were put into intervention by the Government. Since then, work has been underway to make the council better and more efficient.

Secondary admissions
If your child was born between 1 September 2013 and 31 August 2014 you must apply for their secondary school place between 2 September 2024 and 31 October 2024.
Apply in good time for the best chance of getting a place at a school you would like your child to attend.
