Dick Vitale just underwent surgery to remove a cancerous lymph node ... but in true Dickie V fashion, he's remaining positive about everything.

The famous college basketball announcer revealed last week that he was diagnosed with the disease after tests showed a mass in his neck was malignant.

On Tuesday, docs cut it out of him with the hopes of stopping its spread ... and in a post on his X page, he told his followers he's optimistic about his prognosis.

This might be the road rage to end all road rages -- a driver going way beyond yelling and flipping off someone, and instead, resorting to stabbing another motorist on the roads of L.A.

Check out this wild confrontation -- a driver, accompanied by a woman, exits his white SUV, whips out a knife and charges at the driver of a silver SUV in the middle of the road, stabbing him several times in the arm on Saturday afternoon in Ontario.

Things had already hit a boiling point leading up to the stabbing -- with cops later confirming the whole thing started with one driver cutting off the other.

Morgan Wallen is no longer tolerating fans throwing items at him on stage ... as the country singer pointedly disposed of one rogue phone during a recent concert.

Check it out ... Morgan is filmed singing his hit, "Cowgirls," when someone in the crowd at the Mile High Stadium in Denver, Colorado throws their phone at him. The phone hits Morgan right in the shoulder before falling to the ground.

Rather than ignore the unwanted item, Morgan picks up the phone and chucks it offstage ... looking seriously annoyed. However, Morgan recovers pretty quickly ... moving on to another part of the stage to finish the song.

A transatlantic passenger is feeling lucky to be alive after severe turbulence sent him hurtling through the cabin of a Boeing jet ... and planted him in the airliner's ceiling.

Check out the clip -- you can see the man's feet sticking out from above an overhead bin Monday aboard Air Europa's flight UX045 from Madrid to Montevideo, Uruguay. The fact his feet were actually moving had to be relieving to his fellow passengers ... who eventually dislodged him, and got him back into his seat.

Other passengers were also thrown out of their seats when the plane hit turbulence over the Atlantic -- and in total, 30 out of the 325 passengers were injured during the ordeal.

Bradon Nimmo fainted in his bathroom and suffered a gnarly head wound early Monday morning ... but, thankfully, the Mets outfielder says he's going to be OK -- even though he's going to miss some playing time.

The 31-year-old says the scary spill happened in his hotel room at around 5:15 AM -- after he woke up with an upset stomach.

Nimmo, sporting a small bandage on his forehead, told media members just before New York's game against the Washington Nationals on Monday night that at some point, however, he blacked out, hit his forehead on something ... and woke up bleeding.

Comedian Aries Spears is urging Black men to drop any preconceived, homophobic notions about colonoscopies, and get the potentially lifesaving procedure done ... just like he did.

The "MADtv" alum posted an update Tuesday from his hospital bed, and revealed doctors found 2 polyps during his colonoscopy. In his caption, Aries admitted he was previously worried about the procedure ... confessing he'd rescheduled his appointment out of fear doctors would stick a massive camera up his butt.
