Since July 4th is a federal holiday, many banks and financial institutions will be closed.

According to their website, Federal Reserve Banks and Branches will be closed on Independence Day in 2024.

Although they are not required to, most private banks follow the Federal Reserve's holiday schedule and will be closed as well.

The stock market will also be closed on the Fourth of July, according to the New York Stock Exchange website. All markets will close early at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 3.

ATM machines will remain operational, but any online transactions may be delayed until after the holiday.
