Catherine, Princess of Wales, made her second public appearance on July 14 at Wimbledon, nearly one month after making her first public appearance at Trooping the Colour.

The former Kate Middleton attended the Wimbledon men’s singles final on Sunday, where Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic faced off in the final for the second year in a row. In 2023, Alcaraz beat Djokovic for the Grand Slam title in a five-set win.

Kate was photographed at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club wearing a bright purple dress paired with simple jewelry and a nude handbag.

In a video shared by Wimbledon on social media, Kate was met with a resounding applause and a standing ovation as she made her way to the Royal Box at Centre Court, waving to spectators while they continued to cheer.

This isn't the first time Kate, who has been the patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club since 2016, has shown her support and attended the event.

In July 2023, she attended the Wimbledon men’s singles final with her husband, Prince William, and their oldest children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte. After Alcaraz defeated Djokovic in the match, Kate handed him the men’s singles trophy.

Kensington Palace confirmed on July 13 that Kate would make her return to Wimbledon and attend the men’s singles final on Sunday.

This marked her second official public appearance since she announced her cancer diagnosis in March. On June 15, Kate attended the annual Trooping the Colour event to celebrate King Charles III’s birthday, where she joined her three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, in a carriage to watch the parade.

Kate later joined William along with Charles and his wife, Queen Camilla, on the balcony of Buckingham Palace.

Kate has out of the public eye for most of this year after she underwent a planned abdominal surgery in January, per a statement from Kensington Palace. Two months later, she revealed in a video statement that “the surgery was successful” but “tests after the operation found cancer had been present.”

She shared that based on the advice from her medical team, she underwent “a course of preventative chemotherapy” and at the time was “in the early stages of that treatment.”

While Kate did not attended the Colonel’s Review on June 8, she revealed in a statement on June 14 that she would attend Trooping the Colour and shared an update on her health.

“I am making good progress, but as anyone going through chemotherapy will know, there are good days and bad days,” she said in a statement. “On those bad days you feel weak, tired and you have to give in to your body resting. But on the good days, when you feel stronger, you want to make the most of feeling well.”
