There’s no way Richard Branson sleeps. The serial entrepreneur just has too much on his plate to make that possible, from his airline to his private islands, cruise company, space travel company, rail line, hotels, and now, a food hall in Miami.

As part of the new rail line, Branson opened the doors to a new station known as MiamiCentral. Inside, visitors will also find the brand-new Central Fare food hall.

“You have to start with some of the wine at the main bar,” Branson told Food&Wine while sitting inside the soon-to-open food hall. “That’s where everyone must go first. But, otherwise, it’s a bit like having 18 children; you can’t recommend one over the other.”

According to Food&Wine, the 18 food stations include the food hall’s anchor, La Estación American Brasserie by Juvia Group, a full-service bistro that also comes with seating for more than 200 guests. The food hall will also be home to an outpost of 800 Degrees Woodfired Kitchen, an expanded version of the popular 800 Degrees Pizzeria in Los Angeles. Of course, there will be local favorites too such as Miami’s House of Mac, alongside Bio Bio Gelato, and more. All this, Branson noted, is just one piece in his plan to overhaul American train travel.

The team is now hoping the food hall, which is set to open in mid-April, will be the prime spot to feed hungry travelers.

“There are more than 40 million people who will have access to this food hall,” Brightline’s president Patrick Goddard said. “Having access to a food hall at the end of a transportation network makes everyone’s backyard bigger. It’s transformative.”

As for what Branson chooses to eat, he shared with Food&Wine, “Well, I’m British, so it has to be a roast.” The billionaire added, “with roast potatoes, lots of gravy, and Brussels sprouts. I won’t do roast beef anymore though. I’ve decided that eating beef is going to destroy the rainforest.”
