Benyamin Cohen is a journalist and author with more than two decades of experience, focusing on topics related to science, technology, arts, religion, and culture. As an Atlanta native now living in West Virginia, he has also chronicled his experiences adjusting to a rural lifestyle — including his adventures as a first-time chicken farmer.
Cohen currently serves as editorial director for From the Grapevine, manages social media for the Albert Einstein estate and hosts two podcasts, "Our Friend from Israel" and "Hadassah on Call." He previously spent more than four years as content director for Mother Nature Network (now part of Treehugger). He was the founder and editor of the award-winning national magazine American Jewish Life, as well as the online magazine Jewsweek. He is the author of "My Jesus Year: A Rabbi's Son Wanders the Bible Belt in Search of His Own Faith," published by HarperCollins and named one of the best books of the year by Publishers Weekly. He has also written for Slate, the Daily Beast and the Washington Post.
