Trowell Delivery and Collection Policy 

When customers place their orders, what matters most is that the process should be quick and easy. If you are unsure of something regarding your delivery or collection, please contact our customer services team, who will be most willing to help, call 01159326920 or email [email protected], and we will respond to you as quickly as we can.

There are various delivery options depending on the product(s) you are purchasing, the total weight and where the delivery will be.

UK Delivery - Charges

For quick reference, refer to our postage cost guide tables below, which outline the different delivery charges which will be calculated based on what type of product/s are in your basket, their size, and weight, plus where you wish the delivery to be made, and the timing. Delivery options for your basket will be made clear on the checkout page before payment is taken after you have entered your postcode.

To most of the mainland UK, FREE delivery is available for orders over £70.00. This offer is only available where the total weight of the order is under 30kg.

This offer excludes products with Large / Heavy delivery charges and items for delivery to the Scottish Highlands, Scottish Isles, Isle of Man, Isles of Scilly, and the Isle of Wight.

Product delivery times: 

For orders up to a total of 30 kg in weight, EXCLUDING LARGE/HEAVY and under 1.2m maximum length

Up to 2kg Standard delivery your order will be delivered to your chosen address within 3-5 working days, Monday to Friday, excluding weekends and bank holidays. 

Up to 2kg Express delivery any orders we receive will be delivered to your chosen address within 1-2 working days, Monday to Friday, excluding weekends and bank holidays. 

Over 2kg up to 30kg Express delivery  Your order will be delivered to your chosen address within 1-2 working days, Monday to Friday, excluding weekends and bank holidays. 

After you have placed your order, you will be sent an email of acknowledgement followed by a tracking code once your order has been booked for dispatch so that you can track your delivery.

The following areas are subject to extended lead times:
• Scottish Highlands & Scottish Isles: + 3 Days
• Isle of Man & Isles of Scilly: + 3 Days
• Isle of Wight: + 5 Days

Please note delivery speeds are not guaranteed. At Peak seasonal times such as May, June and December, delivery times may be longer.

Delivery charges selected at checkout will be calculated based on what type of product/s are in your basket, their size, weight, plus where you wish the delivery to be made.

Large / Heavy product delivery times:

When you place an order for a product that is Large/Heavy, you will either be sent an order confirmation with tracking or be contacted by our customer services team, who will pre-arrange with you a date for delivery and will aim to deliver to you within 3-10 working days (excludes weekends and Bank holidays).

Click and Collect

Make your purchase online and collect in-store.
This service is available 9.00-5.00 Monday to Saturday and 10.00 – 4.00 Sunday.
Make your purchase online and select the Click and Collect option at checkout.
Please await contact from our Customer Services via email or telephone to confirm that your order is ready at our in-store customer collection point for you to collect. Your order will be held in store for 7 Days. When collecting your item, you will need to bring your Order Confirmation and photo identification to the Customer Collection Point, located by the exit / till point in the Garden Centre.

Local Delivery Only

Some products are available for Local Delivery only, and these products will be highlighted on the individual product page.
For these products we offer a delivery service Local to Trowell Garden Centre, delivering with our own transport at specific postcode rates. It is important to note that there are certain limitations to our delivery services.
For example, we regret to inform you that we are unable to deliver large quantities of heavy items such as compost over long distances or to locations that require navigating through fields or other challenging terrains.
When you place an order for local delivery, you will be contacted by our customer services team, who will pre-arrange with you a date for delivery, and we will aim to deliver to you within 7-10 working days (excludes weekends and Bank holidays). Unfortunately, at the online checkout, we can not specify delivery days or times.

Supplier Direct Deliveries

Products will be highlighted on the individual product page if they are delivered directly from our suppliers. Lead times will vary depending on the supplier and will be given at the checkout once your postcode has been entered, along with delivery rates.
Please be advised that some suppliers do not directly deliver to certain postcodes.
Note, some items may require delivery on a pallet- this is curbside only, and the pallet will not be taken away after.

Additional Information

Tracking

We use a tracking system for all deliveries; normally, the delivery will not require a signature.
However, if we have arranged a specific day for delivery with you, in some cases, a signature or image taken by the courier will be required.

More than one item purchased

Sometimes we will send your delivery in more than one parcel. This means that on some occasions, they may not arrive at the same time. You can use the order tracking system to track the remaining parcels. Please wait until the end of the delivery window before informing us you have missing items.

Checking Your Delivery

Once delivered, the items will become your property and apart from where damaged or faulty when delivered or have been incorrectly delivered, we will not accept any liability for their loss, damage, or destruction after they have been delivered.
Please make sure that you check your items carefully before you use them. We advise that you keep your receipt or order number, which can be found on your confirmation email, as in the event of any after-sales enquiry, you will need it as proof of purchase.

Pre-ordered Deliveries

On products to pre-order, an estimated time for delivery will be displayed on the product page. This will be updated to reflect any changes in lead times given to us by our suppliers. Once the product has been received by us and dispatched, you will receive an email with tracking details and your delivery date.

Christmas Deliveries

In the two weeks before Christmas, deliveries may be subject to extended lead times due to the volume of orders being placed and extended lead times from our delivery companies/couriers.
We are generally unable to guarantee pre-Christmas delivery for ‘available to order’ products where the indicated time falls within the two weeks immediately before Christmas.

International Delivery

We do not currently offer International Delivery.
