Allstate is horrible

Allstate is horrible. You purchase a TV from Wal-Mart of all places and
you move to a new home and accidentally bump your tv. Reminding that you purchased a $100 dollar 4 year warranty and when you try to return the tv...they tell you that it doesn't cover accident and you only get half of what u paid back. So they basically rob you legally. Then they tell you that they cover accidents to phones though amd laptops. NO DIFFERENT THAN A TV. So now I have to buy a brand new full price AGAIN and lose 50 dollars that they choose to keep. Yeah Allstate is horrible and they should just stick to cars.

Filed a claim for hail damage on my…

Filed a claim for hail damage on my roof, talked with 7 different people at Allstate before a adjuster came to my house. The adjuster found hail damage to the entire roof and gutters of the house. Got a estimate from Allstate on 6/9/2024 for full replacement of roof and gutters, 6/15/2024 they sent a 2nd estimate for $314.65 under my deductible. Received a call on 6/19/2024 from the review team saying they denied my claim for nail pops/ blisters. No way there was that many blisters from nail pops on my roof it is literally visible from the ground and is everywhere. The people that reviewed my claim were from Florida and have only looked at less than ten pictures taken by the adjuster. Allstate could save every customer money by cutting their staff by 1/2. It’s been a ridiculous experience and I’m now out $26,000.00 to fix the damage on my own. Stay away from Allstate, don’t pay for their Super Bowl ads and billion dollar advertising campaigns.

These guys are terrible

These guys are terrible, we had a huge hailstorm and they have fought me every inch of the way about repairing my home. Now they want to put two different color sidings up because it's a "close" match. Go with any other company but them. They have made a stressful situation way worse and they couldn't care less. Buyer beware!!!!

Water Damage to Property

I moved out my rental property January 5, 2024 but 8 days later I had water damage to the rental property and Allstate did the decontruction and it's been 5 months now and because I decided to hire an attorney they're refusing to do Reconstruction. My tenant bathroom vanity has been in her hallway for 5 months. Allstate you have taken my premiums with no problem but refusing to pay even with proof that I lived in my property. Allstate is Garbage and I have reported this terrible practice to the Bureau of Insurance because you can't take my premiums and deny me coverage. Come on.

The worst company on earth

The worst company on earth. A bunch of liars who take your money and never ever answer your questions calls or pay your claims . To all other reviewers, we need to collect signatures and file a lawsuit against the company. Let’s do this guys.

Horrible service…

None of the reps seemed to actually want to help. Had an issue with with a customer of mine and we tried to edit the start date of their policy. Tried calling to fix it the customer service department would send me to sales to start a new policy. Then sales would transfer me to customer service. That happened a few times with a lengthy hold in between. 3 hours total. When I expressed my frustrations to a sales rep Terrance. He just wanted to express how I must be wrong and he must send me back to customer service. When I explained that had happened already a few times he got an attitude and hung up on me. Lost a customer since 1986. I feel bad for the agent who was on vacation and had to rely on your 24 hour “service”

Customer service people are slow to…

Customer service people are slow to act, you can't get anyone on the phone for over a month, and they still have not settled my claim and it's going on 2 months. The reps are lazy, will not answer the phones, and try to get out of paying money owed on claims

Zero weekend services

If you buy a car on a weekend you can’t insure it until the following Monday. Allstate is the only insurance company that is outright closed all weekend, no option to speak to anyone unless you’re reporting a claim & they will not answer any other questions. This is ridiculous. This is also why the wait times are atrocious come Monday morning.

Wasted time - website error

Just spent 10 minutes going through all the tedious questions to try and get a quick quote on snowmobile insurance coverage, and at the final step got an "we're sorry our website had a technical problem" error page. This is all the indication I need to not do business with them.

A worst insurance company

A worst insurance company. They will raise your insurance premium unreasonable and if you try to contact them to know why it has raised, they will never answer your concerns. Unethical and not trustworthy. Never recommend this company to anyone.

Poor Communication

It has been a month since my basement got flooded. It is so hard to get in contact with the adjusters and when you do get on the phone with them, they have an attitude. By far the worst I’ve dealt with. They are neither fast or communicating well. From all the service companies that have come in to clean up the flood, electronics and give quotes for replacing the items, they have all stated that their other customers that have Allstate deal with the same thing. Needless to say, I will be switching companies after we get our payout.

Is it possible to give zero or negative…

Is it possible to give zero or negative stars??
You'll never be in good hands with Allstate. I've been with them 18yrs. I needed a new roof from hail damage, and Allstate denied the claim. I tried to get new insurance and was denied due to "too much hail damage". Every homeowner within 2 blocks and more, has had their roof replaced.
My auto policy jumped from $2256 to $5062 per year. A quick online quote and policy write up with another company, with more coverage, was $1324 per year.
RUN, DON'T EVEN CONSIDER INSURANCE from Allstate, they don't do a thing for you except take your money, while charging more than anyone else.

Disappointing at best

Increased my rates dramatically and couldn't offer a reason for doing so. When I attempt to review my coverage costs, my homeowner's policy shows "Paid by third party". Surely they're not so ignorant as to believe this money doesn't come from me. It's simply deceitful and is coupled with mediocre service.

Liars

worst experience ever. Y’all love to increase my insurance 30% & are quick to take my money. But when it comes to claims, y’all take ur sweet time. Horrible!! I hope we all get together & start a lawsuit against them

Mackenzie betteridge .. wow

I was unlucky enough to have the claims agent mackenzie bettering. I quite literally could not talk to her 1 single time. She never once returned a phone call. Never once did she answer a phone call. This has to have been the worse insurance company I have ever had to deal with.

This is the most HORRIBLE insurance…

This is the most HORRIBLE insurance company I've ever dealt with in over 20 years as a driver. They refused to remove my estranged son from my account, but worse they kept delaying and promising me they would, saying they need to "review" the policy. I paid for 2 more weeks while waiting. Then, I called again and they said they made the change and they didn't. Fine, I tried to cancel. They REFUSED TO CANCEL. Again, they claimed it was cancelled immediately, but the confirmation had a future date. They just keep trying to push the date out to charge me more and more. It's unbelievable, I've never seen anything like it. The guy on the phone was literally lying to me. I lost my cool and I knew that was it for me. They also won't tell me what, if anything, I'll owe for past coverage after cancellation. At this point, I'd pay to get out. Please don't think that Allstate is better because it costs more. Geico and Progressive are much better. I left Geico after they raised their rates and I regret it. Back to Geico I go.

34 years with a company that does not care

So we’ve been with Allstate 34 years. We used the home insurance about 17 years ago and haven’t ever had a need until these last 3 hail storms and wind storms. They claim my roof is wear and tear issue but they don’t cover that. I’m so disgusted. We have been with them long enough that we’ve probably paid for 3 new roofs! You’re in good hands with Allstate. Bull crap. You get let down. And our new lady that runs the Allstate we are with wouldn’t even take the time to reach out to us. We talked to a guy in another state. They said our shingles slid down. Even though the nails are still in the plywood but it’s wear and tear. I just cannot even believe it. I can’t remember the exact dates they came but there were 2 different inspectors.

Literally the WORST experience of a…

Literally the WORST experience of a lifetime! I was hit by one of their customers and they are only paying 80% of the claim. Whatever I'm tired of arguing how ANY of it was deemed my fault. Fast forward to tow truck comes to pickup my car and I hadn't heard anything from the shop for 2 days, called them and my car never arrived. Allstate had the driver take it to a tow yard because the shop was full and couldn't repair for awhile. THEN they email me telling me I am responsible for storage fees or I can pick it up and go through my own insurance and they can pursue Allstate. No way, and make MY premium go up? Not even maybe. Then I call and ask 3 people where exactly my car is and I am told they will find out and call me back. Finally get ahold of adjuster and she says she will work on finding a shop, meanwhile my car is at some random tow yard. This has been a total nightmare. I wouldn't use Allstate if it was free!! Hopefully you never get hit by someone with them because it will not be an easy or even somewhat easy process.
