ASPCA Pet Insurance is Awesome

ASPCA Pet Insurance is Awesome
Their claims process is easy and efficient. I like the fact that before each annual renewal I have the choice of adjusting my pet's plan to meet my budget and my pet's care needs. Having pet insurance is essential when an unplanned injury or illness happens. I can make an easier decision regarding my pet with the knowledge of knowing that APSCA is on my team.

Horrible insurance

If you notice, all of the 1 star reviews are very similar to my review of this company’s “pre-existing injury” scam. They use it to cover almost every ailment and get away with covering your pet. This is a company that is supposed to love and cherish animals and look at what they are putting people through. Than they’re staff members laugh at you on the phone. They even commented on my last post saying they were interested in helping me and they still have done absolutely nothing. Please avoid this insurance if you love your pet.

Easy claim process!

What an easy claim process! I submitted claims for our three cats' regular veterinary check ups and received updates and the claim funds back in a very reasonable amount of time. The process was simple and easily submitted the claim through the app, uploaded my vet invoices and voila, all done! For our three cats to have comprehensive coverage it's about $123/month, which is very reasonable and gives us a peace of mind knowing they are covered for illness and injuries.

Do not recommend...

First time buying pet insurance and thought I was going with a reputable company. My very first claim for my dog's torn acl was denied. I called customer service and was told it was because there was a reference in my pet's records of occasional stiffness in that same leg, even though at which time the vet said her leg was fine and recommended a joint supplement due to common hip problems with labs...a totally different issue. I will be filing an appeal since my vet agrees the denial is ridiculous, but I assume it will be denied, and then I will be cancelling my insurance with this company. Lesson learned. Go elsewhere or skip the insurance altogether.

ASPCA- excellent insurance …

I have really been impressed with ASPCA pet insurance! It’s extremely user friendly, has great customer service and pays my claims very quickly. I have all of my pets enrolled!

Elder dog medical emergency

My elder dog had a medical emergency that required hours of intervention. I submitted a big claim to ASPCA insurance. Within 6 days I received the payment. I’ve had this insurance for years and always appreciate their quickness and payment for medical expenses.

She is a puppy

My pet is 7 months old and they are requesting a full year of vet information prior to considering my first claim. So far not going well at all.

Hip dysplasia not covered.

I signed up for "complete coverage" on April 5, 2024. On June 19, I changed vets. New vet wanted to do X-rays. That's when hip dysplasia was diagnosed. I submitted all paperwork from both vets. After a lengthy process, they rejected x-ray, meds, FHO estimate because of pre-existing condition, even though we were beyond the 14 day waiting period that they advertise and condition was not diagnosed before coverage began. They said it was pre-existing because the SOAP notes had a reference to a "limp" in March, even though the vet told me it was not an issue because my pup had good range of motion in both hips. I would have been much better off putting my $83 in the bank. Needless to say, I feel like they have false advertisements.

Best in show

I have used a few different pet insurance providers. ASPCA has been the best experience by far. user friendly portal, quick and easy sign up/filing process, quick response time, easy to reach team by phone and I real a person quickly if needed, not a automated system passing me around. In addition, depending on the coverage you select there is little to no wait period for coverage. I recommend to all my friends with pets.

My very sick cat.

I was glad I took out insurance on my cat. I did not know that she would be so sick. She needs special food, might need shots for the thyroid on the next visit. I am a responsible person in my household, that includes my cat. I appreciate the ASPCA Health Insurance company to help me along the way.

Claim submission has always been very easy and prompt. Our dogs have recently had a lot of health scares, and ASPCA Insurance did exactly what you'd hope your insurance would do; review claims and provide reimbursement promptly and transparently.

I have recently submitted claims for my dog.

I have recently submitted claims for my dog's emergency room treatment and follow-up appointments with an internist. I found that the process to submit the claim was very easy to do online. I was able to track the progress on the claim as well as receiving emails letting me know when the claim was processed. It all went smoothly and didn't take long at all. I received a check in the mail reimbursing me for 90% of the costs of the treatment. There is an option for direct deposit if you want to do that.

I completed a claim at the beginning of August and still haven't received my refund. Hoping this second claim goes better. Other than that, it's a good company when you have fur babies to take care of.

I have all my pets covered with ASPCA…

I have all my pets covered with ASPCA health insurance have used them for years they are always helpful with any questions I may have they are polite courteous, they always ask how each one of my pets are doing. They always pay their claims after your deductible is met.

Definitely worth having.

It was pretty simple to sign up for. Submitting a claim is also not that difficult. Does not take too long for them to process or let you knowbif more information is needed.

Quincy’s Surgery

What a relief to receive my reimbursement for my dog, Quincy’s surgery. It would have been tough financially but our pet insurance paid 90%. I am very satisfied with my insurance.
