My first major accident, total loss, NJM was great!

At 51 i had my first major accident, it was devastating for me, car ended up being a total loss. The ease of contacting NJM, processing a claim, speaking with the representative and getting knowledgeable help was a great experience. I would refer NJM to anyone looking for insurance. which i actually did, after my great accident my son decided to switch to NJM!

Helpful

Staff are knowledgeable, compassionate and reliable. Only wish the allowance for car rental was a bit more, as you cannot rent a car for $30 per day. No matter what, there are many out of pocket expenses after you have an accident, so paying the additional fee per day for a rental adds up and is a burden. However, my experience has been a very positive one because of NJM.

NJM claim

NJM has always been efficient in handling my questions and claims both automobile and homeowners.

They have a good network of convenient repair facilities that do quality work. Communication is via multiple modes - voice, email and text and you get updates on progress of claims.

My recent experience was stellar and they did all the work in getting my pre-paid deductible back from the other driver's company.

NJM is a highly recommended company.

NJM have been my Home Owners Insurance…

NJM have been my Home Owners Insurance for over 20 years. I must say I spoke with Ava Mclauren on yesterday about my Home Owners Insurance claim..Can I tell you this..AVA was Kind Compassionate but must of all she was understanding. A company like NJM is well known in many States. I do not know what State Ava works in. If you ever get a chance to speak with Ava you will all agree she is a amazing Agent to speak with..I trust NJM with my Auto & Home..

Contrary to what we encounter today

Contrary to what we encounter today, NJM provided me outstanding service at the time that I had to claim a hit and run. Representative, adjuster, auto shop (Berkeley Auto Body), rental vehicle service, everything! Thank you for making it a smooth process. Please continue to strive for greatness.

I had two claims for the same time

I had two claims for the same time. NJM was responsible for processing the claims. However the contracted garage, Branning Collision, missed our expectations on delaying both estimate and repair schedules. Also Branning Collision raised both the supplemental estimates by 50% more than the initial estimates, especially the dent on rear hood definitely needed no extra material nor labor. They abused the insurance system, who NJM didn't look over well on behalf of consumers' benefits.

NJM recently had my vehicle repaired with super speed.

NJM recently had my vehicle repaired after I was hit in the rear. Agent was the best always in contact with me all along the way from estimate to repair.

NJM provided me with updates on my claim and was fast acting in resolving the issue up to and including refunding my deductible.Agent handling my claim is the best.

terrible customer service

terrible customer service, a woman named Gabby from 1st Parsippany kept me on hold after giving her all the information, at this point i was 15 min into the call. I was put on hold for an additional 15 min just for her to say she couldn't find the policy with the phone number I was calling from, after typing in the number and also verbally telling her. It doesn't take 15 minutes to confirm a phone number, that hold was done deliberately.

Extreme chipmunk damage to wiring / AC Vent systems on a Honda Pilot

I am a 76 year old male and this was the first automobile claim I have ever entered since starting to drive at 16. I am a good driver and I am lucky. The NJ Manufacturer's adjuster, a lady, gave me excellent instructions and my mechanic sent numerous photos and detailed explanations on a timely basis. My claim was really weird, chipmunks, several families it seems, took up residence in the AC vents and under the hood of our Pilot that my wife drives daily. The rodents built nests in the vents, had babies, stored large numbers of acorns and chewed on so many wires under the hood and the dash that mechanic didn't know how the car was running. The AC stopping was the first major clue. Our mechanic has been exclusively used for around 12 years on a 2002 Tahoe (246,000 miles) and a 2011 Pilot with (204,000 miles). Excellent honest mechanic and his son. The fuse box was melted in places. Major repair job of our engine electronics and eaten parts!

NJ Manufacturers was efficient and timely in covering my repair cost less my deductible. Pleased with professionalism handling our claim.
