My mom's car would not start and she…

My mom's car would not start and she called me to help her out. I drove a state away and called the emergency road side assistance number at around 10:30. We were waiting two hours before we heard anything!!!!!!! No text message updates, phone calls, emails, etc. When the state farm representive called she said sorry about your wait however we COULD NOT secure a tow service and you will have to call back tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHAT!!!!!!!!!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

State Farm Insurance is The Worst Possible Neighbor!

State Farm Insurance well-deserves its many horridly-low ratings, as this State Farm customer and retired professor of insurance has discovered after dealing with their Sarfayan Agency in Southern California, as well as with their corporate morons!
After my own agency repeatedly overcharged me and refused to make prompt corrections and explanations of those overcharges, wasting endless hours of my professional time and effort, I demanded modest compensation for all of my wasted time and effort, which was totally ignored. Then, when thieves broke into my stored car while I am away in Europe, the State Farm claims adjuster has refused to provide any information on claim status or action on claim. Meanwhile, my agency staff -- and agency owner Allen Sarfayan -- have lost their computer skills, as they do not reply to urgent messages. SUMMING UP>STATE FARM IS FAR FROM A GOOD NEIGHBOR, AS THEIR PHONY SLOGAN CLAIMS -- RATHER, STATE FARM IS THE WORST POSSIBLE INSURER! BEWARE THEIR SARFAYAN AGENCY AND THIS SLEAZY FIRM, WHICH EVEN HIDES ALL DIRECT STAFF EMAIL ADDRESSES! THINK>BAD NEIGHBOR!

State Farm is NOT a good neighbor

Claims adjuster was unprofessional, unprepared, in a rush and clearly inexperienced. Homeless, with my home in ruins due to a devastating fire, she put me off for a week and did not return my calls. Management refuses to assign a different adjuster.

Poor customer service.
Profits over policyholders.
Buyer beware!
State Farm is NOT a good neighbor.

I have been a customer of State Farm…

I have been a customer of State Farm for 40 or so yrs with my vehicle coverage and also home owners policy since 2013. I have never had a claim until May 13, 2024. What a disappointment. They do not respond to requests and try to under pay for damages. I have repeatedly requested a new claims rep because the one assigned is very rude regarding the vehicle claims portion of the claim. He actually told me on 6/21/24 that I could only respond with YES or NO answers. I sent comparable vehicle value lists from local car dealers. No one has responded. The medical/injury claims rep is ok but of course the medical part of the claim is not close to being settled. The entire experience is like talking to a wall.

I was with Statefarm for over 50 years

I was with Statefarm for over 50 years. I noted a water leak in my bathroom. I called my Statefarm Agent Steve Myers in Miami and was told the leak was not covered under my homeowner's policy due to wear & tear. They didn't even offer to send an adjuster to evaluate my claim...I don't Recommend State Farm Insurance.

Great Customer Service

My husband and I have been with State Farm for many years. The representative that helps me so much is a great lady named Kim B. We have all of our policies with Brett Twitty office in Schaumburg, IL. Brett Twitty has a great team working for him. Especially Kim B. She knows what products will work best for our family. Her experience at this company shows as Kim B. puts her clients first. I would recommend my family, co workers, and friends to and aqaintances to her.

Loyal Customers Mistreatment

My wife and I have been a loyal customer and so has our extended family for 40 plus years. However, due to a recent hail storm our roof and siding on our house was damaged due to a documented hail storm. We have had problems with them loosing a piece of our siding that they took as a sample to the adjuster not responding, and the overall time it has taken to get this situation resolved. I would not recommend State Farm to anyone.
Most of our neighbors already have new roofs on that have other insurances.

The reason I changed rating from 5* to…

The reason I changed rating from 5* to 1* ( I was buying umbrella policy):
The agent was very nice and premium was great. Then problems started.
Got a request to make some changes to my auto policy. Did it.
Got a request to get a letter my from auto insurance to verify that my wife was not a driver.
Ok, no problem.
Then I got a cancellation notice for the policy and a refund check for 2/3 of what I paid (paid - Feb 1, refund - March 3).
Called agency, they said not to worry, they will take care of it.
Finally got a contract, but with premium $688 instead of original $390!
Looks to me like a classic bait and switch.
I cancelled the deal and will never do business with the State Farm again.

After 23 years of loyalty

After 23 years of loyalty. I cancelled my insurance policy last October 2023 due to personal medical reasons.. and since then gone back and forth to cancel it with no success or solution. I'm 69 yr old with cognitive memory lapse. The stress of continue to call numberous times and multiple times each month with the same request to cancel my insurance policy. Has made further memory issues and situations.
Disgusting abusive of state farms and shows loyalty gets abused not rewarded. I no longer will or wish to contact state farms. Had to find a outside agency to provide assistance and help to get this horrible treatment solved. And perhaps a refund of what I believe was wrongfully and illegal automatic payment to state farms

If I could give a negative star review…

If I could give a negative star review I would. We have been loyal customers for nearly 20 years without a claim. Now we need a new roof and they have repeatedly denied the claim. The houses on either side of ours got new roofs this year, one a year older than ours, one a year newer. My neighbors had no issues with their insurance. We have been fighting this battle for a year and no resolution. Rip off.

NOT ANOTHER PREMIUM INCREASE!!

Yesterday I received my new homeowner's "warning letter" telling me that my premium will increase by over $200.00. I have never made a claim in over 20 years and also have other policies with them. Every time I see Patrick Mahomes and "friends" on State Farm's commercials, I can't help but think that's where the money's going. Recently it's been a pretty stiff increase on every annual premium. I cannot imagine what would actually happen if, God forbid, I had to file a claim!!! My neighbors are really good people and I don't think that's how they would treat me. Get a new slogan.

They refuse to even return calls or…

They refuse to even return calls or emails most horrible company to try and settle case with, they low-balled my truck and only gave 600.00 then only offer 3000 for weeks of pain and suffering and still not healed 😢😢😢😢😢 after I was rear ended hard by their client well someone else was driving their clients car !!!! I'm also a client of state farm definitely leaves bad taste in mouth and very unprofessional when they don't return calls or emails

Dishonest and Sexist

My sister was heading south on a road in Colorado and the other driver was heading north and turning left at a stop light. The light turned yellow (it is legal to proceed through a yellow light in Colorado) and she proceeded through the intersection, and at that time, the other driver turned left into my sister. After police arrived, they cited the other driver for an illegal turn and my sister did not receive any citation. This is my car and my insurance, which is why I am advocating here. State Farm, who represents the other driver, is claiming my sister is 30% liable, which we obviously vehemently disagree given that their driver was cited for an illegal turn.

Furthermore, State Farm stopped returning our calls for a week and the online portal they "set up" for us did not work. Early on when they were returning calls, they also would only call my sister back, which seemed sexist to only want to speak with the female.

State Farm is an extremely dishonest company that only cares about its bottom line and will go to all lengths not to pay their fair share.

My partner and I just had a flood in…

My partner and I just had a flood in our basement, due to a torrential downpour. She filled a claim and they denied it, saying it was the sewer! They never came out to investigate it. We HAD to have it cleaned up! Hopefully, this won't cost too much, but we are going to appeal. To anyone thinking aboutb using State Farm... Don't! They are nothing! They don't know how to do a job and now, we are out THOUSANDS! We just bought this home in January and already had issues with it!!! 😡😡

State Farm Life Insurance is awesome!

In 2008, my late-husband Karl and I purchased a term life insurance policy for each of us. Our then-agent Andrea Zajicek made applying for the policies as easy and fast as possible.

In Sept. 2009, Karl passed from an unexpected heart attack. Andrea made receiving the death benefit for his life insurance policy as easy and quick as possible. I decided to use much of the death benefit to fund a life insurance benefit management account or annuity contract.

This week, State Farm LIfe Insurance Annuity Contract Customer Service Team did another great job! Unfortunately, I requested to cash out the annuity contract 3 days too late to have the funds for purchasing a home on July 1 using the company's regular process. After a few calls with pleas for my request to cash out to be expedited, I had my funds 4 days after I requested them, which was 9 days ahead of the normal schedule!!! Thank you, SFLIACCST!!!

I wish i can give them
0 the most rude agents to talk to they yell at you! very unprofessional, i think the agents steal money because for the last years i’ve been missing payments which my bank statements show there is something very weird there !!!!!! they always receive the payments late when i pay them days before my due date i don’t know this company likes to steal and suspicious i wonder if the states don’t monitor these companies

Sales asked customer card numbers at the phone

Sales asked me to say my credit card 16 digital number to pay the bill at the phone.

I never pay the bill like this , sharing my card number to someone never meet, there is no other way I can pay for State Farm?!
It's kind risk for customers, I do hope US Bureau of Consumer Protection should review this kind behaviour

A client from state farm rear-ended me…

A client from state farm rear-ended me I filed the claim right away and provided them with all the needed information and documents. My case was assigned to 3 different agents since day 1 until the last day. First agent would never answer my calls or emails, second agent same thing they would never call me to give me any updates on my case. When my two years were about to be completed they said if I didn't file a law suit I would loose my case. Which that was exactly what happened because no attorney would take my case. The worst experience I have had.

We recently filed a claim and every time I have had to call the wait times are ridiculous. Currently I've been on hold for 50 mins trying to follow up on claim addemeum. StateFarm lost the initial one submitted by body shop so now I'm having to get involved to get this expediated. We have been w/o car for 3 weeks waiting on this.
