Oneida Indian Nation Properties to Adopt CDC Recommended Mask Policies  

Following the latest recommendations provided by the Center for Disease Control (CDC), Oneida Indian Nation has announced its enterprises will join a long list of companies across the U.S. and New York state that have announced adoption of the CDC's new guidelines related to face coverings for fully vaccinated employees and guests.

Oneida Indian Nation Homelands (May 18, 2021) – Oneida Nation Enterprises has adopted the CDC’s latest health guidelines relating to face covering policies for employees and guests, beginning Wednesday, May 19th. Since the outset of the pandemic, Oneida Nation Enterprises has closely aligned its health and safety policies with CDC guidelines, and will continue to do so where appropriate at all properties. These updated policy measures are a continuation of the Oneida Nation Enterprises’ careful planning and commitment to coordinating with public health officials and experts throughout the pandemic.

Following the CDC’s updated recommendation, fully vaccinated guests are approved to safely discontinue wearing face coverings in both indoor and outdoor spaces through Oneida Nation Enterprises properties, and physical distancing will no longer be required for vaccinated individuals in most areas. Guests who are not fully vaccinated should continue the existing protocols of wearing face coverings throughout all Nation-owned facilities, except when seated in dining areas where Oneida Nation Enterprises’ physical distancing protocols remain in place. Employees will remain masked, unless they show proof of vaccination.

Oneida Nation Enterprises join a long list of hospitality, gaming, entertainment and retail venues, as well as some of the largest employers in the United States, who have announced similar policies, such as MGM Resorts, Wynn Resorts, Caesars Entertainment, Starbucks, Target, Costco, Trader Joe’s and Walmart, among others.
