Cayuga County Fire and Police dispatching through the Cayuga County 911
Center has cut over from analog to the new Digital Radio System as of 12/5/2012.
Cayuga County has joined the Central New York Interoperable Communications
Consortium (CNYICC) Network, along with Madison, Oswego and Onondaga counties.
Scanner listeners will now need a digital trunking receiver
in order to listen to this system. Scanners such as the Uniden BCD 396X/T and
996X/T, Uniden Home Patrol and the Radio Shack Pro-197(same as GRE PSR-600) are excellent radios for
listening to the new system.
(There is an analog simulcast of CC Fire/EMS dispatch that you can still receive on 453.41250 mhz)
