The Arizona Cardinals will open training camp July 23 and begin the process of preparing for the regular season, forming the roster and determining starting jobs and roles on the team.

Leading up to the start of camp, we will take a look at every player on the offseason roster, their background, their contract, their play in 2023, questions they face and their roster outlook.

Next up is linebacker rookie wide receiver Tejhaun Palmer.

2023 stats

In 2023, Palmer caught 47 passes for 858 yards and seven touchdowns, averaging 18.3 yards per catch.

2024 contract details, cap hit

Palmer signed a four-year, $4.2 million deal this offseason. He received a signing bonus of $185,228 and will make $795,000 in salary, His cap hit in 2024 will be more than $841,000.

Questions he faces

As a late-round rookie who played in a relatively small college football program, can Palmer adjust to the size and speed of players and the speed of the NFL game? Can he crack a roster at receiver that will be very competitive.

2024 roster outlook

Palmer, despite being a draft pick this year, is on the roster bubble. Four spots on the roster seem like locks (Marvin Harrison Jr., Michael Wilson, Greg Dortch and Zay Jones). He will be in the mix battling for the last or one of the final two spots on the roster. The practice squad will be a real possibility.
