Anderson Cooper
Anderson Cooper serves as a correspondent for 60 Minutes and anchors CNN’s Anderson Cooper 360. Cooper graduated from Yale University in 1989 and worked for Channel One News before joining ABC News as a correspondent in 1995. He joined CNN in 2001 and developed a reputation for his breaking news reports, specifically for his coverage of Hurricane Katrina in 2005 and the Haiti earthquake in 2010. Cooper served as the host of his own syndicated daytime talk show, Anderson Live, from 2011 to 2013.
The news anchor came out as gay in 2012. Three years later, Cooper officially confirmed relationship with Benjamin Maisani, with whom he coparents sons Wyatt Morgan and Sebastian Luke, who were born via surrogate in 2020 and 2022, respectively.
Since 2002, Cooper has hosted a New Year’s Eve countdown special on CNN with close friend Andy Cohen.
