Here’s your cheat sheet for the 76th Emmy Awards, from the date to the biggest contenders in all the major categories.
When will the 2024 Emmys take place?
The 2024 Emmys are set to take place on Sunday, September 15, at 8 p.m. EST–confusingly, just eight months after the last ceremony, which finally went ahead on January 15, 2024, after being delayed from September 18, 2023 as a result of the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes.
What are the eligibility requirements for the 2024 Emmys?
Any program that aired between June 1, 2023 and May 31, 2024 is eligible for this year’s awards.
Who is hosting the 2024 Emmys?
Schitt’s Creek’s beloved father-son duo, Eugene Levy and Dan Levy, will host the 2024 Emmys. “For two Canadians who won our Emmys in a literal quarantine tent, the idea of being asked to host this year in an actual theater was incentive enough,” the pair said in a joint statement. “We’re thrilled to be able to raise a glass to this extraordinary season of television and can’t wait to spend the evening with you all.” Last time around, Anthony Anderson served as master of ceremonies, while Kenan Thompson, Cedric the Entertainer, and Jimmy Kimmel took on hosting duties in 2022, 2021, and 2020, respectively.
Where will the 2024 Emmys be held?
The ceremony is due to be held at the Peacock Theater at LA Live in Downtown Los Angeles.
Which show got the most nominations for the 2024 Emmys?
Unsurprisingly, it was Shōgun, beloved by critics and audiences alike, which got the most nods, with a whopping 25.
How can I watch the 2024 Emmys?
ABC is scheduled to air the ceremony.
