The Copenhagen shows normally start off the fashion month circuit, so it’s usually a preview of the street style trends to come when the collections kick off in September. This season, the Danes and their guests were all about the three C’s—comfort, camouflage, and class-ready polos.
Comfort is always key during fashion week, but this season it played an even more prominent role. Instead of adorning their hair with bows and florals, street stylers took to a less time-consuming option by tying handkerchiefs and scarves around their heads. There are no bad hair days, when all you see are beautiful florals and paisley prints in silk and cotton.
Class was also in session this season, with polo shirts taking center stage, especially a version by Saks Potts emblazoned with a cheeky School of Saks Potts logo. Others switched the preppy styles of seasons past with something more made to sweat—P.E. gym shorts. The foolproof formula, it seems, is to pair them with a collared blouse and some moto boots.
