The Prelude to the 2024 Olympic Games kicked off with all the makings of a fabulous party: Celebrity co-hosts Charlize Theron, Serena Williams, Rosalía, and Omar Sy? Check. A star-studded guest list of athletes (LeBron James), rock stars (Mick Jagger), actors (Zendaya), and designers (Christian Louboutin)? Check. Arcade games, gourmet bites, and a Frank Gehry-designed backdrop? Check, check, check. But then Tyla hit the stage, and, well, the night got even better.

As a nod to the sports-themed evening and the Paris 2024 Games, the singer and songwriter took the stage in her version of sporty style: an oversized Louis Vuitton jersey worn with short spandex shorts and thigh-grazing boots marked by thick white laces. Flanked by two dancers, Tyla treated the crowd to a performance of “Thata Ahh” before singing “Jump.” (We may or may not have spotted a few guests trying to keep up with her choreo...!) Much to the delight of all those in attendance, Tyla capped her performance off with the chart-topping “Water.”

Any invitation from LVMH chairman and CEO Bernard Arnault, Comcast NBCUniversal chairman and CEO Brian Roberts, Grammy-winner and Louis Vuitton men’s creative director Pharrell Williams, and Vogue’s Anna Wintour is sure to be a delightful evening. Add a Tyla performance and it becomes unforgettable. Only at the Prelude!
