Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, is known for incorporating several pieces of heirloom jewellery from the British royal family in her everyday wardrobe. In the past, Kate Middleton has styled the passed-down pearl drop earrings, diamond tiara, pearl bracelet with her modern-day dresses and gowns on many occasions. Even the Duchess’s famous sapphire and diamond engagement ring belonged to her husband Prince William’s mother, Princess Diana. So it’s no surprise that Middleton’s outfits often have subtle, hidden tributes to the late Princess. The most recent homage was on November 7, when she stepped out in London with her husband to support the launch of the National Emergencies Trust in an elegant navy blue dress by one of her favourites, London-based designer Emilia Wickstead. The full-sleeved, fit and flare silhouette was belted at the waist and Middleton teamed it with a simple black clutch and Jimmy Choo pumps. See her choice of jewellery below.

Along with the classic navy dress, black clutch and her trust Jimmy Choo pumps, the Duchess also a special poppy-shaped crystal brooch to honour Remembrance Day in the UK. Also note that the diamond and sapphire earrings she chose that once belonged to Princess Diana, featured a double-drop gemstone then. Middleton’s modern-day version only came with one with a single diamond on top.
