David Simon began filming his new pilot for HBO, The Deuce, today in midtown Manhattan. But when people stopped looking for James Franco in a pornstache or Maggie Gyllenhaal in booty shorts (the show chronicles the legalization and subsequent rise of the porn industry; Franco plays mobster twin brothers while Gyllenhaal tackles a veteran Times Square hooker), they instead were treated to some majorly unexpected car eye-candy. Bedford and Bowery was at the scene to snap some photos, and the results mimic something straight out of vintage-car heaven. Or Jay Leno could be in town, for all we know.
