On July 17, news broke that Tom Sandoval was suing Ariana Madix for checking his phone and allegedly copying an explicit video of Rachel ‘Raquel’ Leviss. Sandoval later reversed course, dropping the suit and suggesting that he was misled by a now-fired attorney.

He’s doing what now?

July 17, 2024: Tom Sandoval has filed a lawsuit against Ariana Madix for getting on his phone and obtaining explicit videos of Rachel (or Raquel) Leviss. This same video is the subject of two revenge-porn lawsuits Leviss has filed against Sandoval and Madix. The same video that alerted Madix to the affair between Leviss and Sandoval that began midway through filming Vanderpump Rules season ten. Us Weekly reports that the suit claims Madix “made copies” of the video and distributed them to “Leviss and third parties” without his permission. According to Leviss, Sandoval saved the video without her permission.

“It is abhorrent that Tom Sandoval continues to torment Ms. Madix,” Madix’s attorney, Jordan Susman, said in a statement. “From engaging in an illicit affair that shattered her home and stability, to months of emotional warfare and now this attempt to further shirk personal responsibility for the effects his actions have had on her and her emotional well-being.” He added that they’re confident a jury will “see through this latest ploy and dismiss his frivolous claims.”

Sandoval’s statement

July 18, 2024: Well, that was fast. Tom Sandoval said in an Instagram statement that the cross-complaint against Ariana Madix is being removed. According to Sandoval, trusted attorney Matt Geragos “urged” him to agree to the action, characterizing it as “customary and strictly preventative.” “The words ‘new lawsuit’ or ‘suing’ were not articulated to me,” Sandoval continued. “I should’ve done more of my due diligence on the matter.” He added that he holds “no ill will or vindictiveness” toward his ex, and has since fired Geragos. “Now, by removing both the Cross-Complaint and the attorney who recommended it, I hope to get through this case quickly, so that Ariana and I can both finally MOVE ON with our lives,” he concluded.
