  • WBBJ will be giving away a total of 20 Gas Cards valued at $100 each to SHELL USA

  • Contest giveaways will occur once per day during CBS 7 Eyewitness News in either the 5:30, 6:30, or 10 o’clock newscasts, Monday –Friday only.

  • 7th caller wins

  • Must be 21 years to enter.

  • Card must be picked up at WBBJ within 30 days of winning.

  • Viewers cannot win more than one prize within 60 days

STATION Rules:

 

  1. To enter, be watching the 5:30, 6:30 and 10 7 Eyewitness News on WBBJ/CBS.  Be the 7th caller on the contest line when the cue to phone is given.

 

  1. Only one winning phone call entry per person.

  2. WBBJ (“STATION”) and its sponsors are not responsible for any entries which are lost, due to phone or internet/phone disruptions or problems.

 

  1. STATION may, due to unavailability of prizes awarded, substitute another prize, of equal value, for that which was originally won.  

  2. Employees of STATION, its advertising agencies, their affiliates, representatives, and their families are ineligible to enter/win any contest staged on WBBJ TV and no Employee of Shell USA, and its affiliated companies are eligible to win.

  3. No prizes awarded by STATION will be mailed to the recipient.  Rather, the recipient must claim the prize in person at the station, 346 Muse St. Jackson TN.  The prize may only be claimed upon proper documentation of identification through photo I.D.

  4. Winner must provide STATION with his or her social security number, complete a W-9 form, and must sign an Affidavit of Eligibility and a Release and Waiver from all liability against STATION, its sponsors, employees and affiliated companies for any injury or loss which may occur from the contestant’s participation in the contest or from use of any prize which is awarded.  

  5. All winners of STATION contest must be at least 21 years of age.  Some contests may require the winner to be at least twenty-one (21) years of age or older.  See specific rules for age limitation.

  6. Additions or deletions to these rules are subject to the discretion of WBBJ, and may be enacted without notice at any time.

  7. By participating in a contest, the winner consents to the use of his or her name, and/or likeness, and/or voice for promotion, and/or advertising purposes in connection with the contest, STATION, and its sponsors, without additional compensation.  

  8. Winners are responsible for all taxes incurred on all prizes awarded.  Prizes are non-transferable and no substitutions may be made by winners.  Prizes not claimed in accordance with these rules will be forfeited and not awarded.

  9. Copies of the official rules for any contest are available for public review during regular office hours at WBBJ, or may be requested by mail by forwarded a self-addressed stamped envelope to 346 Muse St. Jackson TN.

  10. The decision of WBBJ with regard to all matters relating to this contest, including those matters not specifically addressed in these rules, shall be final.  This contest is void where prohibited or otherwise restricted by law and is subject to all federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations.    

  11. Odds of winning are dependent on number of callers.

  12. Winners will be notified by phone at the time they are the 7th caller and must claim prize within 30 days of winning.
