Teen In Custody For Attempted Murder Faces Judge For New Felony

DOWNTOWN JACKSON — A Jackson teen accused of etching gang graffiti on the wall of his jail cell faced a judge Wednesday morning. Randy Taylor, 18, now faces a felony vandalism charge. Taylor and Jonquarious Cunningham,17, now face adult charges in a July shooting in Allenton Heights that left another teen paralyzed. While in juvenile detention, Taylor is accused of using a screw to scratch gang graffiti in his holding cell, doing more than $500 in damage. The judge set Taylor’s bond at $5,000. Taylor is due back in court Dec. 5.
