Lifeline Blood Services to host Valentine’s Day blood drive

JACKSON, Tenn.– The blood drive on Thursday, February 15th is called Gift from the Heart.

It will be held at Lifeline’s Jackson location at 183 Sterling Farms drive from 9 in the morning to 6 in the evening.

Participants have the opportunity to win prizes such as a one night stay at the Doubletree Hotel, dinner for two at Old Town Spaghetti Store, and Ronaldo and Julie Vos jewelry from Robert’s Jewelers.

All donors will receive a free t-shirt and a sweet treat from two sister’s bakery.

“Donating blood is just a great way to show love and compassion for your community. Lifeline serves 21 communities here in West Tennessee and donating blood is just a great way to lend a helping hand,” said Melinda Reid, the Marketing Manager at Lifeline Blood Services.

Reid says that all blood types are welcome and needed, however, right now, type O is in high demand.
