First-ever food truck competition comes to Huntingdon

HUNTINGDON, Tenn.—A tasty competition is held in one local town.

The ChesOli’s Race for Taste Food Truck Competition was held today in Huntingdon.

The event took place at the Carroll County Civic Center located at 201 Fairgrounds Road.

This event brought together the likes of food trucks, food vendors, along with other business owners for a day of competition and community togetherness.

Food truck owners and food vendors battled head to head to create the tastiest main dish.

Each food establishment was judged by a panel of 2 to 3 judges who graded each dish on quality, presentation, customer service, and taste.

First, Second and Third place winners from the competition received cash prizes ranging from $250 to $1,000 dollars.

“This is one of our first times coming to an event and so far we’ve been a lot busier than we expected to be. We’ve had a lot of people come out,” said, Aspen Anderson, Southside of Chicago.

This was the first food truck competition of its kind for the area.
