Jackson-Madison County Library presents ‘Books and Brews’

JACKSON, Tenn. — ‘Books and Brews’ was held Friday night at Hub City Brewing.

Books and Brews is a summer reading program hosted by the Jackson-Madison County Library. The theme this year is adventure.

Library staff made a pairings menu of some of the drinks at Hub City Brewing and combined them with some of the books at the library.

The pairings are based on characteristics like general aesthetic and title.

Adult Services Manager at the Jackson-Madison County Library, Shayne Plunk, gives us an example of how the pairings work.

“The strong silent type, which is one of the brews here, that we paired with a book called the bronze horseman, which according to one of our north branch employees, is a love story with a strong silent type romantic interest,” said Plunk.

The library has many programs for every kind of book lover, to learn more click here.
