1 killed, 1 seriously injured in morning wreck

LEXINGTON, Tenn. — One person is dead and another is injured following a morning wreck.

According to Lexington Police Department Chief Jeff Middleton, authorities were notified of the crash shortly before 7 a.m Wednesday.

Chief Middleton says two vehicles were traveling in the eastbound lane of Highway 412 on their way into the City when the wreck occurred.

According to Middleton, the crash involved a rollover and ejection.

Middleton confirms one person was killed and another was seriously injured.

Traffic was halted in the area as crews worked to clear the scene.

Chief Middleton says an investigation is currently ongoing, and the identities of the victims have not been confirmed at this time.
