Felon arrested after fentanyl, cocaine, more seized in drug bust

DYERSBURG, Tenn. — Authorities seized a large amount of drugs, including fentanyl, during a bust this week in Dyersburg.

According to the West Tennessee Drug Task Force – 28th, 29th, 30th Districts, agents served a search warrant Wednesday at a home in the 700 block of Southern Avenue.

During the search, the task force says teams seized 90 fentanyl pills, four grams of fentanyl powder, an ounce of cocaine, a loaded 9mm handgun, two pounds of marijuana, and more than $1,600 in suspected drug proceeds.

The task force confirms one male, who is a previously convicted felon, was arrested on numerous drug and weapon charges.

A press release states District Attorney General Danny Goodman Jr. is prosecuting the case.

Drug Task Force agents were assisted by the Dyer County Sheriff’s Office and Dyersburg Police Department.
