Man charged with arson after allegedly setting house on fire in Humboldt

HUMBOLDT, Tenn. — The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, along with the Humboldt Police and Fire Department, are currently investigating a residential fire in the 1000 block of North 12th Avenue in Humboldt.

The incident took place around 12:30 a.m.

58-year-old Willie Pledge was arrested in connection to the fire.

In a news release, the TBI says during their investigation it was determined the fire was intentionally set during a domestic dispute between Pledge and a female victim.

Pledge has been booked into the Gibson County Jail on one count of arson. No bond has been set at this time.
