Black Tie and Blue Jeans event returns to Jackson

JACKSON, Tenn.—In support of heart health a local non-profit, Friends of Heart, hosts their seventh annual Black Tie and Blue Jeans themed fundraiser.

The night consist of a silent auction, cocktails, a plated dinner and a live auction plus dancing with Memphis’ own G3 Band.

All the money they raise stays in Jackson and the 19 surrounding counties to promote their healthy heart initiative.

The event contributes to the AED distribution, staff education, clinical research, Jackson 4-minute city initiative, and youth EKG screenings.

A few guests tell us one of the most anticipated parts of the night is the Whiskey Pull.

“This is our biggest fundraiser of the year. We hope that everybody has a great time. We want them to help us improve heart health here in West Tennessee. Every dollar you spend with friends of heart stays within West Tennessee. We use it all just to help our neighborhoods, our communities, and our surrounding counties,” said Tracey McKnight, Executive Director.

Friends of the Heart focus on cardiac care across the entire West Tennessee region. You can donate to this non-profit by mail or find out more by visiting the website here.
