Carroll County Fair returns to Huntingdon

HUNTINGDON, Tenn.–  The Carroll County Fair returns to Huntingdon.

Most attendees are there for the rides, but others are there for the food.

“Definitely a funnel cake, candied apple,” shares attendees.

“Funnel cake for sure,” another attendee adds.

With four jam packed days of fun, the opening day of the Carroll county fair has already been a hit.

“We actually went to school for the first day yesterday this is our second day. I’m real glad to come here, this is my first time coming to a fair,” fair goer Rowan Conger says.

This has been an anticipated event for residents.

A newly crowned ‘Miss Fairest of the Fair” shares how she’s feeling about this year’s fair.

“I’m so excited I’ve been looking forward to this since last year. It’s already been amazing I just spent all my money winning this. I just love meeting all the new people tasting all the food and it’s just been so much fun,” she says.

Although some people are there for the food, the rides and games are also fun.

“My favorite part is the games because I get sick on rides. I love playing the games and trying the challenges and watching all the people play the games as well,” Lily Moore says.

On Saturday August 3rd Lily Moore was crowned Miss Fairest of the Fair to kick off the fair season.

“I was so nervous. I was shaking in my boots. All the girls were so beautiful and so talented and we had to do interviews. Hearing my name called as the winner was just a thrill. There’s pictures of me crying on my Facebook page,” Moore says.

The next four days are full of deals and fun.
On Thursday August 8th there is free admission and a deal for senior citizens from 10 am- 1pm.
Friday there is a 15 dollar admission fee.

Saturday August 10th will end the Carroll county fair.
That night will conclude with free admission and a fireworks show at 9pm.
