Where to find pharmacies participating in new free diaper program

JACKSON, Tenn. — Parents and guardians know how expensive diapers can be but one new program is helping with that heavy load.

Members of TennCare and CoverKids under the age of 2 are receiving care in a way that has previously not been given.

“Tennessee is now the first state in the nation to provide important support for families by covering the cost of diapers for children on TennCare under the age of two,” said Governor Lee.

In order to receive the diapers you must go to a participating pharmacy. There are multiple pharmacies in West Tennessee that offer the free diapers.

Some included counties are Hardeman with 2 pharmacies listed, Madison with 1 pharmacy, Obion with 1 pharmacy, and Dyer with 3 pharmacies.

Once you choose a participating pharmacy, you only need to bring the pharmacy card to the counter, or the parents pharmacy card, if your newborn doesn’t have their own card yet.

Diapers can range in price, but the option of saving money on up to a hundred diapers, every 30 days, for each child under the age of 2, can be worth hundreds of dollars a year.

Governor Lee also has a message for tax payers.

“We’re doing all of this without burdening Tennessee taxpayers. Through responsible management of our TennCare program and the shared savings model, these crucial services will be provided at no additional cost to Tennesseans,” said Governor Lee.

The brands that are included currently are Huggies and Cuties, but the Pampers and Luvs brand are listed as coming soon.
