Jackson Police respond to wreck involving school bus

PRESS RELEASE FROM THE JACKSON POLICE DEPARTMENT:

Jackson, TN – Officers from the Jackson Police Department responded to a two-vehicle collision this morning involving a JMCSS school bus and a box truck at the intersection of Dr. F.E. Wright and Madison Technology Drive around 7:30 am.

Upon arrival, the officers found that the occupants of the school bus did not appear to have any life-threatening injuries.

However, as a precautionary measure, they were all taken to a local hospital for medical evaluation by Emergency Medical Service.

The occupant of the second vehicle was airlifted to Regional Medical Center (the Med) in Memphis, TN.

The investigation into the accident is ongoing.

It is important to prioritize safety when sharing the road with school buses. The Jackson Police Department extends prayers to all individuals involved.
