UT Extension teaches life skills to local youth

JACKSON, Tenn. — An educational training session prepares students for everyday life skills.

The students are learning skills that help them manage their finances.

The session aims to help them make better decisions based on the critical thinking processes they’re taught.

It’s a way for them to find balance going into their future endeavors.

“The skills that they’re learning can translate in any facet of life. Being able to take products and break them down based off like I said the price. It could be the fabric–down to the fabric that things are made of,” said Kane Reeves, extension agent for UT Institute of Agriculture.

They have these sessions throughout the entire year.
