Lifestyle expert shares back-to-school essentials

JACKSON, Tenn. — Summer is almost over and we know what that means, it’s back-to-school time.

Lifestyle expert, Joann Butler, shares her back-to-school must-haves.

She says when it comes to tech, aim for a high battery life and lots of storage.

Also, consider buying a printer for convenience. Look for printer packages that offer support and upgrades and printers with low monthly fees.

For a dorm room, think of cool lighting. Many customizable LED light strips are simple to install and won’t damage walls.

For snacks, find options that are nutritious but also delicious.

Lastly, cleaning wipes and sprays are an underrated back to school essential. Look for safe yet effective multi-surface cleaning options.

Planning various essentials in advance allows for less nerves and more excitement.

“It takes some time to just, you know, pack everything up and then get it all set up but, you know, it’s also exciting, you know. It makes–it makes you excited to go back to school so sometimes, you know, we’re scared, we’re nervous, you know, some people don’t want to go but this just makes it all better,” said Joann Butler, editor-in-chief for Lifeminute TV.

One last tip from Butler is to confirm snacks with local school districts to remain allergy friendly.
