Knox Co. Election Commission adds 3 new early voting locations ahead of Aug. 1 elections

The new locations are at the Gibbs Ruritan Club, the commission's west office and Carter Elementary School.

KNOX COUNTY, Tenn. — Voters in Knox County will have three new locations where they can cast a ballot ahead of the Aug. 1 election.

The Knox County Election Commission said Thursday that it met and approved the ballot, election voting times and its list of early voting locations. The commission's list of early voting locations included three new spots. Voters can now cast ballots at the Gibbs Ruritan Club, the Knox County Election Commission's west office and Carter Elementary School.

  • Gibbs Ruritan Club, 7827 Tazewell Pike, Corryton
  • Knox County Election Commission west office, 109 Lovell Heights Road
  • Carter Elementary School, 8455 Strawberry Plains Pike
  • City-County Building – Main Assembly Room, 400 Main Street
  • Downtown West, 1645 Downtown West Blvd., Unit 40
  • Eternal Life Harvest Center at Five Points, 2410 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.
  • Knoxville Expo Center, 5441 Clinton Highway
  • Meridian Baptist Church, 6513 Chapman Highway
  • New Harvest Park, 4775 New Harvest Lane
  • Halls Recreation Center, 6933 Recreation Lane
  • Karns Senior Center, 8042 Oak Ridge Highway

The Aug. 1 election will include races for the U.S. Senate and the U.S. House of Representatives, as well as several state legislature seats. Knox County Commission seats are also up for grabs, as well as seats on the Knox County Board of Education and on Farragut's Board of Alderman.

Early voting starts on July 12, and the final day to cast an early ballot will be on July 27. Election Day is on Aug. 1. Voters can request an absentee ballot up until July 25.
