KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Tennessee All-American second baseman Christian Moore wrote a sentimental note on Instagram to Tennessee baseball and its fans on Friday afternoon.

"I don't really know where to begin. These last 3 years have changed my life," Moore wrote. "Thank you to this amazing coaching staff for believing in me, taking a chance on a kid that should have never been in this situation."

Moore is widely projected to be a top-20 pick in the upcoming MLB Draft, and had one of the most prolific seasons in Tennessee history as a junior in 2024, setting a new program record for home runs in a season (34) and also setting the all-time mark for career home runs at Tennessee (61).

"To my teammates… y’all have seen me grow up a lot these last few years. Thank you all for taking me under your wing, allowing me to grow up and mature," Moore wrote. "Without you all I am not the player I am today.

Moore also thanked the Tennessee fanbase for years of support in the post.

"Vol nation, you guys are unbelievable. Talking for the rest of the team, you guys were the heartbeat of this thing," Moore wrote. "Thank you for always being there for us, cheering us on through the good and bad."

In three seasons at Tennessee, Moore started 162 games with 212 total hits and 61 home runs along with 179 runs and 160 RBIs.
