Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms expected to develop this afternoon and persist into this evening. Most activity will be confined to higher terrain areas of southcentral Arizona, but a few storms may form across portions of the Phoenix metro. Expect gusty outflow winds and brief heavy downpours to be the main impacts from any thunderstorm.
Near to slightly above normal temperatures today will continue through the weekend. Temperatures increase slightly to start next week. Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorm chances for today, with waning chances going into the weekend followed by mostly dry conditions going through the weekend into early next week.
Best shower and thunderstorm chances over the next several days will be today, with activity focused over south-central Arizona lower deserts and higher terrain. Dry conditions with at or slightly above normal temperatures will persist into early next week, ahead of another increase in shower and thunderstorm chances beginning on Tuesday.
Temperatures remain near normal today, with widespread Minor and localized Moderate HeatRisk through this weekend. Temperatures will be near to slightly above normal going into early next week.
