Guidance on regulations for the transport of infectious substances 2021-2022

Overview

This publication offers practical guidance to facilitate compliance with applicable international regulations for the transport of infectious substances by all modes of transport and includes the changes that apply from 1 January 2021. The document provides information for classifying, identifying, packaging, marking, labelling, documenting and refrigerating infectious substances for transportation and ensuring their safe delivery. The current revision replaces the document issued by the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2019 (document WHO/WHE/CPI/2019.20). When using this publication, reference must be made to the applicable national and international regulations.
